The Singapore Olympic Foundation gave out 189 scholarships on Friday to help young athletes with financial constraints achieve their goals.
They received their scholarships from the Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports, MG(NS) Chan Chun Sing. Each receipient received between S$1,000 and S$10,000.00.
Major General (NS) Chan together with Mr Ng Ser Miang, Chairman of the Singapore Olympic Foundation and Mr Peter Lim, Director of the Singapore Olympic Foundation and donor of the scholarship, presented the scholarships to the receipients.
ST Telemedia also made a donation of S$100,000.00 in support of the Singapore Olympic Foundation.
