Olympic Day Run 2014 – Get Everybody Moving!

McDonald’s and the Singapore National Olympic Council will be organising the Olympic Day Run on 12th July 2014 (Saturday), to coincide with the worldwide celebrations of the Olympic Day. McDonald’s has been the exclusive worldwide presenter of the Olympic Day Run since 2003.

Every year, Primary and Secondary schools are invited to send a group of students to participate in this meaningful event and the attendance for this event for the past few years are on an average of 2,500 people.

The event details are as follows:
Date: Saturday, 12th July 2014
Reporting Time: 7:45am – 8:15am
Reporting Venue: West Coast Park, Grand Lawn
Flag-off Time: 8:40am
Duration of Event: 8:40am – 12:30pm
End Point Venue: West Coast Park, Grand Lawn

This year’s Olympic Day Run will comprise of various Olympic Sports related try-outs and stage games such as Archery Tag Try-Out and Kite Colouring Competition! Schools can also register their students to take part in several competitions such as Handball and Futsal competitions.

Participants are encouraged to bring along their picnic mats & baskets for a leisurely get-together session with fellow peers and will each receive an event t-shirt (first come first serve basis).
