One hundred and thirty-seven golfers gathered at the Sentosa Golf Club for the Singapore Olympic Foundation Inaugural Charity Golf 2014 raising SGD450,688 for the Singapore Olympic Foundation (SOF) on 14 May 2014. Proceeds of the event, which is SOF’s first fund-raising event, will go towards the objectives of SOF such as promoting Olympic values in Singapore, helping athletes to achieve their sporting aspirations, and supporting events and activities beneficial to sports in Singapore.
Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Ministry of Communications and Information, participated in the golf tournament and graced the event as the Guest-of-Honour.
